Japanese Selvedge Jean · Kaihara Indigo.
Kaihara is the Hiroshima-based denim mill that supplies the world's most considered denim brands — the Japanese selvedge that the Italian and American luxury denim houses (Tom Ford, RRL) source for their apex programmes. The cloth is 14-ounce, indigo-dyed in the rope-dye method, woven on shuttle looms with the self-edge that gives selvedge its name. Raw, unwashed: the jean will fade to the wearer's body over the first 300 hours of wear.
